THE FRIENDS OF HALIBUT POINT STATE PARK The Friends of Halibut Point State Park is a non- profit group formed in 1986. Our purpose is to assist in the preservation of the natural character, promote passive recreation consistent with the conservation of the terrain, serve as a liaison, and assist by raising money, in the development, education and improvements of Halibut Point State Park. We co-sponsor volunteer programs that may include, quarry tours, tide pool walks, bird walks and nature programs. We assist the park financially with its maintenance and educational goals. Our largest project has been working with the park to create a Granite Museum in the park
